sampleThe current National Sr Vice President, Caroline Rumshottel, is seeking Volunteers to fill some National Positions. Ask your members to "think about areas of service that they are passionate about". Then ask members or your Units if they would be willing to serve on one or more of these committees. For each one of these committees we have 1-2 positions open. If they could contact her right away that would be great.

The following is what she is looking for:

1. Ship's Store Committee - helping to arrange, help customers, help check out, help with ideas for new merchandise and ways to gain more revenue, help with set up and packing. In the future we will be open only at designated times when the meetings are not in session.

2. Workshops Committee - The workshops committee would help with ideas and find out what information people want and the find people who would be willing to share their expertise with a small group.
3. Girl Scout Committee - This committee helps support Units across the nation who track and honor the number of certificates given to the Girl Scouts who achieve the Gold Award.
4. History Book Committee - This committee looks at submitted history books and gives them certificates of appreciation for their entry.
5. Registration Committee - This committee greets people as they come and gives them badges and packets. This committee also in the future will be open only at certain times when the meeting is not in session and will involve less time.

6. Memory book - This committee reviews the submitted memory books, gives suggestions, gives a certificate of appreciation and awards a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
7. Legislative Committee - The Legislative liaison for the region will be sending federal veteran's legislative issues from legislative newsletters. We need people to pick some excellent issues, comment, write letters to their representatives and pass on the word to others. They can send E-mails and speak about them at Unit, Department, and Division meetings.
